Get ready, Disney fans! A whole new world is blossoming at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and the construction is in full swing! The Tropical Americas land is taking shape, promising an immersive experience that will transport you to the vibrant heart of the Americas.
At the center of this exciting expansion is a brand-new attraction inspired by the beloved film Encanto. Imagine stepping into the magical world of the Madrigals!
The construction is happening where DinoLand U.S.A. once stood. The building's facade will be a stunning replica of the iconic Casita from the movie.
Every day, the steel skeleton of the future Encanto ride grows stronger. While the height hasn't changed since the last update, crews are busy adding more beams, solidifying the framework. You can almost picture the magic coming to life!
During a recent visit, the crane was hard at work, moving steel components behind the construction walls. It's a testament to the rapid progress being made!
The Encanto attraction is slated to open with the official debut of the Tropical Americas land in 2027. This land, officially named Pueblo Esperanza, won't just be about the Encanto ride.
And this is the part most people miss...
The Tropical Americas will also feature a carousel! Imagine a beautifully crafted carousel with Disney animals, like Kevin from Up. Plus, there will be a brand-new playground for the little ones to enjoy.
But here's where it gets controversial...
Construction will really ramp up after February 1st, when DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus will permanently close. Both will be reimagined, with DINOSAUR transforming into an Indiana Jones ride.
