In a bold move to enhance its operational capabilities, the management of Tema Oil Refinery has successfully acquired a new vehicle fleet aimed at improving refinery operations. This newly procured fleet includes eight brand new Mitsubishi vehicles, three Toyota Coaster buses, and two industrial forklifts, among other crucial operational vehicles, all of which have been officially handed over to the staff.
The primary purpose of this fleet acquisition is to facilitate the daily operations of the refinery, thereby boosting its overall efficiency. Nayon Bilijo, the Board Chairman, presided over the official commissioning of the fleet, allowing for its immediate deployment to relevant staff members for both official and operational purposes.
Notably, this significant investment was made possible through the Internally Generated Funds (IGF) of the company in the year 2025 under the new management. This strategic decision marks a pivotal moment, as it has been twelve long years since the refinery last experienced such an important upgrade in its logistical resources back in 2013.
The lack of sufficient operational logistics in recent years has had detrimental effects on productivity, significantly hindering the refinery's progress. In light of this development, the management took the opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, for their unwavering support and commitment to the refinery since its inception.
Additionally, they conveyed their appreciation to the dedicated workforce of the refinery, acknowledging their hard work and continued support.
